A message from Mark and Kathleen Bonistall - Lindsey's parents...

Dear Friends,

May 1st will mark eight years since the murder of our daughter, Lindsey Marie Bonistall, in her off-campus apartment at the University of Delaware.  Not a moment slips by that Lindsey is not in our hearts.  Our tragedy sparked the creation of PEACE OUTside Campus, The Lindsey M. Bonistall Foundation (POC).  PEACE OUTside Campus (POC) is both a celebration of Lindsey's life and a continuation of her legacy. POCseeks to avert similar tragedies by teaching students and their families to identify and reduce the risk of victimization.

Through your support and generosity we have been able to extend our community outreach program, Teens 'N Transitionthroughout the tri-state area, educating more than 5000 area high school students on personal safety in college during the last year. We have forged partnershipsbetween local law enforcement and collegecommunitiesto improve safety, help identify risk, and reduce crimethroughPOC Chaptersand events. We continue to provide tips for safe living on college campuses through the use of social media and our website.Your assistance has enabled us to initiate an intern program with local colleges, to facilitate targeted education, research and development, and continuation of our advocacy programs.
